After two nights in Hoanib, we took a short 45-minute flight to Doro Nawas. From there, we embarked on a 2-hour journey along rough, yet stunning roads to Damaraland Resort, situated "in the middle of nowhere." Our guide, Nicky, a Himba man, led us through this adventure.

In the evening, we dined with several other guests in a kraal. The next day, we enjoyed a private breakfast at sunrise atop a mountain. Following that, we embarked on multiple game drives, each one more rugged than the last.

The landscapes are truly breathtaking. There's an abundance of wildlife, and we even stumbled upon a watering hole where elephants bathed and dusted themselves off afterward. The heat here is quite intense, but the experience is worth every moment.
