Hoanib/Skeleton Coast National Park

On our way to Hoanib, nestled within the Skeleton Coast National Park, it's a journey of just over an hour by air. We'll be spending two nights here, greeted upon arrival by our guide, Vincent.

The Hoanib Reserve is situated a short distance from a dry riverbed and comprises buildings draped in tent canvas, adding to its allure. Following an evening safari in the dry riverbed, often referred to as a 'linear oasis,' we set out the next day towards the coast. This entails a 5-hour journey over rough roads (if you can call them roads) amidst ever-changing, breathtaking landscapes.

We set off in mist that gradually dissipated as we neared the coast. The air grew colder as we approached the shoreline. There, we marveled at a shipwreck and observed seals lounging about. After indulging in a delightful lunch of paella, we returned by a small eight-seater aircraft, completing the journey with memories etched in our minds forever.
